A video documentary on "mirror neurons" (13:49 min)

The connection between doing something and seeing something done seems rather concerning. Especially, I think, within the context of violent pornography that already has behaviour altering potential through positive stimulus.

And as a fan of the action movie, especially such as feature coreographed combat, I can't but wonder what it really does to the psyche of a person to receive that sort of indoctrination evening after evening, year after year. Especially when for an increasing number of people this artificial human contact offered by games and television has started outweighing the real thing. What are we doing to ourselves?

And is it the lack of this mirror neuron activity that turns us into jackasses online?
