EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ENTRY ON MY FRIENDS PAGE IS ABOUT FRIENDITTO TODAY. -- bluemoonshark

FEAR! UNREST! DRAMA! LJ PETITIONS AND COLORBARS! -- hep

Apparently frienditto hit the drama train head-on today. Everywhere I look someone's wangsting about it. -- dancingdrew

LJ Support people made some posts about it, and it spread from there like a fart in an elevator. -- subbes

Yeah, apparently fandom people are scared that J. K. Rowling will read Frienditto and discover their secret Ron/Snape fic. -- dancingdrew

God, HP fans. I think by now they've replaced NAMBLA as the largest group of open pedophiles in the English speaking world. -- 33mhz

Old meme, people. Unclench. It's just the Internet, go find some porn.

I've been wondering whether action heroes make homoeroticism more acceptable for young boys who out of peer or general societal pressure like to pretend they're one hundred percent entirely hubba-hubba hetero. Because the aesthetics in them are very erotic, and yet the eroticism in them is not marketed for girls -- because it's still somewhat of a cultural taboo for women to enjoy action and fictional violence.

There are strong heroines in comics, games, and movies - although their validity for female rolemodels is often debatable - always thoroughly sexualized because the teenage boy is the main targeting audience, the consumer, and in this group especially the credo of 'sex sells' rings true. But even though things such as this (would it be overanalyzation to say that Blade and Dracula seemed entirely post-coital after their battle?) and this are eyecandy also for girls, there is an undeniable homoerotic vibe in the fact that it is mostly boys who do find these characters... attractive. Whether or not they're ever wiser to how it is, in fact, erotic attraction and not merely projection of self.

Or something.

I'm just going to sit in the corner and fangirl the hotness of PoP's armour.
