Evil Mutants

(no subject)

Hattara: evil hattara; the old witch of fairy tales; similar to Ajattarot (ghosts of the forest, a terrible evil female forest spirit that led hunters astray -- Translates Leviticus 17:7: And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils (the ajattaras), after whom they have gone a whoring.) and Lemmas, v. infra. Is called paha hattara in the fairytales of old women for their mischievous nature. Item Hattarat, obstinate giants and usurpers of heaven. -- Prov. Even God doesn't know how to keep the wretched, how to control the hattara.

This is the word with which we chose to translate cotton candy, with the pink and the fluffy, when it crossed the Atlantic.
