LJ: 300, Tonight We Blog In Hell

(no subject)

- It's amazing how often the following piece of dialogue has happened to me in the last couple of months: "Did you see what was in the papers today?" "I don't read news papers anymore" *They start reciting news items to me*. Folks, it's not that I can't read or can't be bothered to read, I promise. It's that I don't want to and therefore choose not to. And I feel better for it. I feel better for limiting the attention I give to commercials and advertisements, too. It's made a change.

- I made pizza for my mother. I was out of regular cottage cheese, so I used vanilla cottage cheese instead. She really didn't notice.

- The Infernal Ball scene of the Мастер и Маргарита -miniseries was fucking horrifying. The book was amusing to me, I was snickering my way right through it. But Vladimir Bortko's screen adaptation, while brilliant, gives me a serious case of the creepy crawlies.

- I really believe that I ought to be able to make my Saturday afternoon grocery run without being called a fucking whore. Even if I looked like one. Even if I was one. I really do. I think that most men really don't understand the prevalence of street harassment, as it just doesn't happen when a woman is in the company of a man, any man. Thank you, stranger, I know that really brightened my fucking day.
